As last year the show team have decided to support a smaller, local charity for this show.

The Barnsley Hospice is about 2 miles away from the Holiday Inn and in fact they have their retail hub near the railway station in Dodworth.

They are a charity providing specialist palliative and end of life care for local people living with a life-limiting illness, and those close to them. These conditions include cancer, heart and lung diseases and neurological diseases such as motor neurone disease and Parkinson’s disease.

The charity does receive an annual NHS grant towards their costs, they still need to raise £3.5 million every year to fund services for the people of Barnsley. 

That’s almost £10,000 per day.

We are planning on an auction, a raffle plus 2 volunteers from the hospice fund raising team will be present on the show day loosening wallets & purses.
